EARLY PSYCHOSIS RESEARCH LAB
The Loewy Lab is based out of the University of California, San Francisco Department of Psychiatry. The Loewy lab conducts research with adolescents and young adults who are at high risk for developing schizophrenia, as well as young people recently diagnosed with schizophrenia. We are interested in 1) identifying young people at risk for a psychotic disorder; 2) studying risk factors for psychosis onset; and 3) testing prevention and early intervention treatments. Our program integrates psychosocial and neurobiological approaches to understanding major mental illness.
Principal Investigator: Rachel Loewy, PhD
Duties:
Administrative/Clerical Duties such as data entry, data cleaning, research records review, etc.
Participation in weekly clinical research meetings
Great experience to put on your resume for graduate or medical school.
Skills:
Prefer Psychology Major
Organizational skills are key
Detail oriented
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel and SPSS
Previous research experience
We are looking for individuals who can commit about 8-16 hours per week for one year to our research lab. This would be an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students.
